Tips For Planning Your Best friend Myrtle Beach Vacation
Most people love to walk on the beach vacation. There is something so captivating beach vacation about the salty air and the sand, the sun, and the moonlit beaches. So whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a nice golf vacation with the boys, or a fun weekend for the girls, Myrtle Beach has something for you. And the best part is that Myrtle Beach is a very affordable place to visit. You can spend a lot or a little, but given the wide variety of activities and types of accommodation, it makes sense to plan well.
I have been on beach vacation in Myrtle Beach for over 55 years. Twenty years ago, my husband and I decided to come here to stay. Truth be told, it was the golf that attracted him, not the waves and sand. But now that we’ve been here almost long enough to be considered native, I find that I enjoy helping others plan their vacations. I’d like to offer you my top three tips for planning this amazing Myrtle Beach vacation.
Best friend beach vacation area
Decide on a budget. Since this area of the Grand Strand has so many different accommodations and activities, it’s easy to work on any budget. One of the most important decisions you must make is how you spend the money you have set aside for your vacation. How important is the sea? Do you want to include golf? Do you eat out at all meals? Want to spend money on Myrtle Beach’s many entertainment venues? Want to shop at the many unique shops, malls, and beach resorts like Broadway At The Beach or Barefoot Landing? Some beach vacations don’t include as many options, but Myrtle Beach is unique because there are so many things that can affect your budget decisions.
Agree on activities To keep the peace, agree in advance in which direction everyone wants to go. If Dad wants to play golf, make sure you have transportation online so Mom can shop. If the family wants to see one of the many Myrtle Beach shows, make sure the golf game and “chill out” time is over early so you won’t be late for Opry seats (or entertainment venue of your choice) . Some beach vacations don’t offer as many different activities, so it makes sense to decide in advance what everyone wants to do.
Ordinary beach vacation with friend
Look for things to do “out of the ordinary.” You may be one of those people who just wants to be on the beach all day and not be bothered by much else. However, some people, especially those who have traveled from another region of the country, may be interested in visiting nearby places of interest. Myrtle Beach is close to many historic sites, art galleries, and botanical gardens, such as Brook green Gardens in Litchfield. Historic Charleston is just a 90-minute drive away. Any search engine will be able to give you all the details; otherwise, the Chamber of Commerce is a good resource for planning.
Myrtle Beach offers a wide variety of things to do, including golf, live entertainment, shopping, and of course the great blue Atlantic Ocean. A little planning will go a long way toward enjoying a peaceful and satisfying vacation. This great variety is what makes this area so popular with many families, especially those within a day’s drive.
